This role serves as a primary point of contact for drivers, customers, vendors, and internal partners while maintaining accurate records and supporting compliance, safety, and customer service standards.</p><p></p><p> Job Responsibilities:</p><p> Utilize routing and dispatch systems to efficiently plan and execute inbound, outbound, and backhaul movements</p><p> Dispatch trucks and prepare daily driver and equipment schedules</p><p> Act as a primary point of contact for drivers, responding to inquiries related to breakdowns, directions, scheduling changes, and delivery discrepancies</p><p> Monitor drivers Hours of Service (HOS) to prevent DOT violations and support regulatory compliance</p><p> Adjust delivery and backhaul assignments to accommodate late trucks, breakdowns, substitute drivers, or other operational changes</p><p> Generate revenue through effective backhaul planning and execution</p><p> Monitor load status, temperature (when applicable), and on-time performance, providing timely updates to customers and vendors</p><p> Build, update, and maintain inbound and outbound orders in the transportation management system (TMS)</p><p> Maintain accurate driver, load, equipment, contact, and service records within dispatch systems</p><p> Contact customers, carriers, and vendors regarding appointments, scheduling changes, and service updates</p><p> Interface with third-party transportation providers to procure services and monitor load progress</p><p> Promote driver safety and report incidents, accidents, and breakdowns promptly to leadership</p><p> Assist with accident documentation and workers compensation reporting as needed</p><p> Review, track, and resolve department expenses, invoices, and financial discrepancies</p><p> Maintain dispatch, backhaul, payroll, financial, and compliance files in accordance with retention requirements</p><p> Provide professional, courteous, and effective communication with drivers, customers, vendors, and internal partners</p><p> Perform all duties safely and complete additional responsibilities as assigned</p><p></p><p>Experience and Qualifications:</p><p> Education - High school diploma or GED. College coursework, continuing technical education or comparable business experience preferred</p><p> Basic knowledge and understanding of Department of Transportation (DOT) Hours of Service</p><p> Knowledge of Transportation Management Systems preferred</p><p> Ability to read conventional and electronic mapping</p><p> Ability to read with corrected or uncorrected vision</p><p> Ability to speak, read, write and understand English</p><p> Ability to remain calm and focused while prioritizing requests from multiple sources</p><p> Ability to assist in creation and maintaining the guidelines of a fiscal budget</p><p> Ability to maintain and ensure confidentiality of team member and company information</p><p> Accuracy and attention to detail</p><p> Proficient in computer usage to include email, word processing, spreadsheets</p><p> Knowledge of computer software and applications</p><p> Ability to accommodate flexible schedules to meet the needs of the customer to include overtime, nights, weekends and holidays as required</p><p> Ability to utilize equipment for the job such as computers, cell phone, phone, handheld trackers, copiers, scanners, printers, tractor mobilecomm devices</p><p> Ability to Travel (less than 10%)</p><p></p><p>Environmental Job Conditions:<br /> Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally</p><p> Must be able to sit on an almost continual basis and stand, walk, bend, or squat on an occasional basis in a normal office environment</p><p></p><div><div><div><p><i>In accordance with the Pay Transparency requirements, the following represents a good faith estimate of the compensation range for this position.
